01 / What you’ll get

Useful perspective. In business terms.

You receive an executive-level assessment report: an understandable summary of the information collected, with areas to consider and a basis for discussing what comes next.

01

See the bigger picture.

Bring information about your IT environment into a summary you can review without working through a stack of technical reports.

02

Identify areas of concern.

Understand where the collected information suggests that a closer look may be useful. The assessment helps surface questions; it does not claim to uncover every issue.

03

Know what to discuss next.

Use the findings to have a more informed conversation about your environment, your priorities and whether further investigation makes sense.

02 / How it works

Your free network assessment starts with a useful outside view.

TR Technologies sets up the assessment. You receive a link and instructions to run a lightweight, user-initiated scan. We review the information and prepare your report.

01 / REQUEST

Tell us you’re interested.

Request the free assessment so we can start the conversation about your environment.

02 / SET UP

We configure it.

TR Technologies sets up the assessment and provides the link, instructions and relevant requirements.

03 / RUN

You start the scan.

Follow the instructions on the appropriate devices, coordinating with your IT contact where needed.

04 / REVIEW

We review the information.

We consider what was collected and prepare an executive-level assessment summary.

05 / RECEIVE

Get your report.

Review the summary. The findings can then be discussed with TR Technologies.

Often, 2–3 devices are enough to begin.
That is a starting point, not a limit. Additional devices can be assessed when appropriate for your environment.

Allow approximately 1–2 business days after the scan.
This is the usual allowance for review and report preparation, not a guaranteed turnaround time.

03 / What we look at

Technology questions.

Business context.

The review can bring together information across these areas, depending on your environment, the assessment configuration and the information available.

Security

Security-related information that may highlight concerns or questions worth exploring further.

Devices & environment

Context about the assessed devices and their environment, including where a broader review may be useful.

Network & systems

A view of the systems and network information collected, helping you understand the environment that supports daily work.

Cloud & relevant infrastructure

Relevant cloud or infrastructure information where it is available and included in the configured assessment.

04 / The report you receive

A summary you can actually use.

The goal is an understandable executive-level picture: what was reviewed, what may deserve attention and what would be useful to discuss. The example below shows the format—not assessment findings.

05 / Understanding the scope

A useful starting point.

Not a formal audit.

This free offer is an initial, executive-level assessment intended to give you a useful feel for the condition of your IT environment.

It is not a formal independent third-party assessment for compliance, cyber insurance or audit purposes. It should not be submitted to an auditor, insurance carrier or compliance authority as one.

Detailed remediation, planning, and implementation are outside the free assessment. The report can identify areas that may deserve attention and provide a basis for discussion.

Need a more comprehensive assessment? TR Technologies has performed these as separate engagements. We can discuss the scope and requirements when appropriate.

Our commitment to useful information.

We believe an outside look at your IT environment should provide useful information—not simply take an hour out of your day.

If you complete the assessment and genuinely feel that you didn't get enough value from it, we'll give you $100.

06 / Is this right for you?

When an outside perspective would help.

For accounting firms, independent insurance agencies, manufacturers and other good-fit Chicagoland businesses, a free network assessment can provide a clearer understanding of your IT environment.

L

You’re concerned about the condition of your network or security.

L

You haven’t had a recent outside perspective on your IT.

L

Recurring technology problems are raising questions.

L

You’re considering a change of IT provider.

L

You have an internal IT person or team and want another perspective.

If you need a formal independent third-party assessment for compliance or insurance, that requires a separate engagement rather than this free offer.

07 / Before you begin

A few practical questions.

What do I need to run the assessment?

After TR Technologies sets up the assessment, you’ll receive a link and instructions for a lightweight, user-initiated scan. We’ll explain the relevant device and access requirements for your setup. Coordinate with the person responsible for your IT before running it.

How many devices can be assessed?

For many environments, approximately 2–3 devices are enough to begin collecting meaningful information. There is no hard 2–3-device limit. Additional devices can be assessed when appropriate.

What will I receive?

An executive-level assessment report or infographic-style summary, followed by an opportunity to discuss the findings. It provides useful context and areas to consider, not a complete technical audit, detailed remediation guidance or a project plan.

How long does the report take?

Allow approximately 1–2 business days for TR Technologies to review the collected information and prepare the report after the scan is completed. Timing can vary; this is not an exact turnaround promise.

Does the assessment make changes to my network?

The scan is used to collect assessment information; the free offer is not a remediation engagement. We’ll explain the setup and any requirements before you run it. If you have concerns about permissions or effects on your environment, discuss them with us and your IT contact first.

Is this a formal third-party audit?

No. It is an initial executive-level assessment, not a formal independent third-party assessment for compliance, cyber insurance or audit purposes. More comprehensive assessments can be discussed as separate engagements.

Am I obligated to become a client?

No. Requesting and completing the assessment does not commit you to a Managed IT agreement or require you to become a TR Technologies client.
